myCourses - Adding a Preferred Email (or SMS)


This article describes how to change your primary email from the default to another email address or text (SMS) address within myCourses.


Adding a Preferred Email or SMS

  1. After signing in to myCourses, click on Account.
  2. Click on Settings or Profile.
  3. Your default or email should be listed at the top-right of the screen. If you would like to enter a different email account, click Add Email Address and then type it into the resulting window and click Register Email. If you would like to enter an SMS account, click Add Contact Method and then type your cell number and SMS email along with selecting the carrier in the resulting window.

  4. Set the new email or sms address as the default by clicking the Star to the left of the address. This is an important step which indicates to Canvas that this is your preferred email address.
  5. You can delete unwanted email/text addresses by clicking the trash-can to the right of the address.
