Accounts: How do I request IT account access for someone else?

Basic access to UNH Resources, which includes Outlook Exchange, AD, and Canvas, is automatically provisioned for most new employees. This access should be available on the individual’s first or second day of employment.

  • If additional IT accounts are required, an employee can request access to accounts for another UNH/USNH employee by following these steps:

1. Go to the Accounts Management System and log in with your UNH username and password. (Note: Do Not Use Internet Explorer).
2. Click on Add
3. Click on Request Access for an Employee
4. Proceed through the request form and confirm your request

  • If IT accounts are required BEFORE an employee's start date, an employee can request Early Access to accounts for a future employee by following these steps:

1. Log into the Accounts Management System with your UNH username and password. (Note: Do Not Use Internet Explorer).
2. Click the green Add button
3. Click the New Hire Early Access Request link
4. Complete the request form and confirm your request.

  • If IT accounts are needed for a non-UNH person with business at the University, an employee can request Sponsored User access by following these steps:

    1. Go to Accounts Management System and log in with your UNH username and password. (Note: Do Not Use Internet Explorer).
    2. Click on Add
    3. Click on New Sponsored User
    4. Proceed through the request form and confirm your request.


Note: Student Employees are not authorized to request IT account access for themselves or other users. Instead, a non-student employee must submit the request on their behalf.
