OneDrive: Unlinking OneDrive from your Account

How to Unlink your OneDrive App – Windows

If your OneDrive app is not accepting your credentials, you can clear all of your saved settings and Unlink the OneDrive app on your Windows PC.

Note: This does not impact any files or data you have stored in OneDrive. 

  1. Steps to Unlink your account from the OneDrive app: (Note: this does not uninstall the app)
    1. Click the white or blue ‘Cloud’ OneDrive icon in your Windows taskbar.
    2. Click the ‘Help & Settings’ Gear Icon.
    3. Choose ‘Settings’.
    4. In the pop-up box, select the ‘Account’ tab
    5. Click ‘Unlink this PC’ and then ‘Unlink Account’.
       
  2. If you would like to reconnect the OneDrive app to your account, relaunch the OneDrive app.
     
  3. Login to OneDrive using your institutional Email Address.

Pool and Secondary accounts :

  1. This same process applies to Pool or Secondary accounts.
  2. Pool/ Secondary Account owner must log into office.com in a preferred browser
  3. To add a Pool/Secondary account as a collaborator use the full email address for the account
    1. pool.dept00p@unh.edu
