Post M365 migration: Updating Email and Calendar settings on Android


These instructions are provided to help update modern Android Mobile devices to receive "Email and Calendar" using Exchange Online after the M365 migration to the USNH Unified environment. During this process you will be asked to remove the existing account and re-add the new unified account.

*In the event that these instructions do not align with your current version of Android, please feel free to contact our Help Desk at: (603) 535-2929 and we would be happy to assist you with manually configuring your mail account as well as providing alternative recommendations such as the Microsoft Outlook App for Android.



Follow the steps below to update "Email and Calendar" settings using Exchange Online with your Android Mobile device:

Phase 1: Remove existing account.

1. Tap on the Android "Settings" gear icon

2. Tap on "Accounts and backup"

3. Tap on "Accounts"

4. Tap on your existing campus mail account

5. Tap on "Remove account"... then confirm "Remove account" again


Phase 2: Re-add the account

1. Tap on the Android "Settings" gear icon

2. Tap on "Accounts and backup"

3. Tap on "Accounts"

4. Tap on "Add account"

5. Select "Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync"
    *This Exchange option will allow you to sync both your "Campus Email" and "Campus Calendar"

6. Enter the following information...

  • Enter your email address in the form of:
  • *username should equal your campus username/netID, not your email alias.
  • *Campus should equal your primary home campus.

i.e  OR

  • Enter your password
  • Name the email account: "PSU Email" or "KSC Email"

...then tap "Sign In"

7. After tapping on "Sign In" the new Exchange account will start to configure, then tap on "Apply"

8. Choose from the following Mail and Calendar preferences then tap "Done"

9. Tap "ACTIVATE" at the bottom of the screen

10. Name the email account: "PSU Email" or "KSC Email" - or your preferred campus location
