Updating Adobe applications

This document covers how to manually update Adobe products, as well as setting Creative Cloud to Auto-update.

 

 

How to manually update Adobe Applications

 

This process will work for subscribers to the following Adobe applications:

  • Acrobat Pro
  • Dreamweaver
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Audition
  • Creative Cloud All Apps

 

  1. Open the application you wish to update
  2. Click on Help, then Update (please note, this may also be listed as Check for Updates)
  3. The application will search for, and install, updates if found

 

How to set Creative Cloud to Auto-Update

Note: auto-update is only available to subscribers to Creative Cloud All Apps

  1. Open Creative Cloud
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then click on Apps

  1. Set auto-update slider to active by clicking on it. The slider will turn blue, indicating the feature is now active. Please note that you can set Creative Cloud, and any application downloaded through Creative Cloud, to auto-update
  2. Click Done
