Box Drive Troubleshooting Update Issues

If you are experiencing a problem installing the newest version of Box Drive—either having it crash frequently, or experiencing difficulties installing it at all—please follow these steps:

  1. Remove all traces of Box using the Microsoft Uninstall Tool. This may need to be run multiple times to remove all traces of previous versions of Box Drive
  2. Try reinstalling the newest version of Box Drive, either through Software Center (if your PC is managed through Configuration Manager) or on the Box website
  3. If issues persist, we have made a previous installer for Box Drive from January 2018 available for use; please reserve this step as a last resort
