Setting up Forwards and Auto Replies for a Shared Mailbox using Outlook on the Web

Note: It is recommended to set up forwards and auto replies using Outlook on the Web.

Automatic Replies

  1. Go directly to Exchange Online.
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select open another mailbox.
  4. Type in the name of the mailbox you want to make changes to, and hit open.
  5. Now that the mailbox is open you can set up forwards and auto replies.

Automatic Forwarding

Automatic forwarding is not recommended for anything other than with shared mailboxes.
You can automatically forward or redirect your email messages by setting up Inbox rules in Outlook on the Web.

  1. On the Outlook toolbar bar, select Settings > Mail.
  2. In the left pane, under Options, select Mail > Accounts > Forwarding.

  3. Under Forwarding, select Start Forwarding, enter the forwarding email address, and then select Save.

    Note: Select or clear the Keep a copy of forwarded messages check box.
