Duplicate publications can occur for a few different reasons. If a publication was added as a submission, and then automatically claimed when it is published you may see a duplicate. You may also get a duplicate record if the publications are the same but have slightly different information captured.

To merge the records and capture all the information from both records

  1. From the home page click on Publications

  2. Select the records that you would like to merge

  3. Click on the workspace icon for each item to add them to the workspace

  4.  Click on the workspace icon at the top right of page

  5.  Select the items that you would like to merge

  6. Click Join

  7. Confirm the merge by clicking ok

To separate entries that you have merged.

  1. Click on Publications

  2. Find the publication that needs to be split

  3. Click on Details

  4. Click on Data Sources

  5. Click on Split Record
