Details
Creating hyperlinks to internal site pages
When linking to pages within your website it is best to use the Linkit tool. This tool allows you to search for a specific page title, select it, and link to it. The following steps demonstrate this:
- Select the text you want to become the link;
- Click on the Linkit (Link to content) button;
- In the "Search for content." field start typing the title of the page you wish to link;
- Select the the page- the Link URL (address) populates;
- Click on the INSERT LINK button.

Creating hyperlinks to external websites
When linking to an external website (any site not your own) you can also use the Linkit tool. This tool allows you to specify the URL (address) to the external site and set the link to open in a new window. The following steps demonstrate this:
- Select the text you want to become the link;
- Click on the Linkit (Link to content) button;
- In the "Link URL" field type in the full URL spec (this includes the https://);
- Click on "Options," then the "Target" dropdown and select "New window (_blank)";
- Click on the INSERT LINK button.
