This article details how to delete a SharePoint website and how to restore a deleted SharePoint website.
NOTE: You need to be a Site Collection Owner to delete your own site.

Delete a SharePoint Online Site
Team site
-
Go to settings (gear icon in top right)

Click Site Information

Then select Delete site
-
You will need to confirm the deletion by checking the box to delete the group and clicking delete
Communication site

Go to settings (gear icon in top right)
-
Click Site Information
-
Then select Delete site

To confirm, click Delete
Restore a SharePoint Online Site
Deleted site collections are automatically emptied from the site collection Recycle Bin after 93 days. If you need your SharePoint Online site restored, submit a service request at USNH TeamDynamics SharePoint Requests.
