Microsoft Licensing: Windows 10 Education - Students, Faculty & Staff

Windows 10 Education has all the features on Windows 10 Pro and more.

Microsoft Windows 10 is Microsoft’s newest operating system. It’s faster, more secure, and easier to manage than any of its predecessors.

  1. Any files that are not already stored in Box should be moved to Box before the installation. They can be moved out of box afterwards if you wish.
  2. Edge is the new default Microsoft web browser. You can still access Internet Explorer 11 by searching for it. Once located, you can pin it to your start menu.

UNH Departments can upgrade to Windows 10 on University-Owned computers. UNH IT recommends working with you departmental IT or ATL staff where applicable.

To install, UNH faculty and staff with AD accounts may access the Windows 10 Education file share:

  • Windows: \\Filestore\Win10Ed$
  • Mac: smb://Filestore/Win10Ed$

This software may not be installed on UNH faculty and staff personally-owned computers.
