myElements - Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) - Dept. Chair/Deans Reviewing Assessment Document

This article highlights how a reviewer in myElements can view/export the FAR report attachments.

In order to complete these steps you must be setup as a reviewer within myElements.  All department chairs, Associate Deans, and Deans are setup as reviewers and may approve additional administrative staff be given this same access by submitting an account request for myElements assessment reviewer access.

In order for a Reviewer to access any FAR, it first needs to be submitted.  The system does not show all faculty by default only those whom have submitted. 

Statuses:

  • Faculty Entry - only individual faculty member can see the assessment
  • Department Review - faculty can see it as read only and department chairs can view/export
  • College Review - faculty can see it as read only, department chairs can see it as read only and designated Dean’s office staff can view/export

Reviewing assessment document

  1. Click Menu tab

  2. Under Review Click Review Processes.  If the user has access to multiple reviews they would select the specific review at this time

  3. Click on Review review processes

  4. Click on Continue Review or Start Review for a faculty member depending on where you are in the process

  5. Items that the faculty member has added to their report can be viewed by scrolling through items and clicking View item. Items viewed through this process will inform the narrative completed by department chairs. NOTE: Although there is an option to add a text narrative to this it is recommended to create a word document instead due to the inability to format and add attachments at this time.

                               

Overview of options for moving report through the review process

The current stage of each review can be determined by selecting the option, either Department or College. NOTE: For a Dept chair to view reports that have been moved to College review the filters will need to cleared. By default it only shows reports within your stage.

For Department Chairs - Chairs have the opportunity to send it back to the faculty member if it needs additional interaction. After the chair has reviewed the items Move to college review will send it to the deans office for review. 

For Deans office staff - When the deans office has reviewed the assessment Mark my review as complete will complete the process
