WebI Enterprise Authentication Login Requirement for KSC and PSU

Question: The WebI Quick Start Guide instructs WebI users at Keene (KSC) and Plymouth (PSU) to set the Authentication to "Enterprise" when logging in.  I cannot login that way, but I can login if I set the Authentication to LDAP.  Is it okay for me to use LDAP at Keene and Plymouth?

Answer
The recommended WebIntelligence login method for KSC and PSU is to use Enterprise authentication. If you are unable to login using Enterprise authentication it is usually because you recently changed your VPN (AD) password, and did not change your WebI password. Each time you change your AD password you need to login to WebI and update your WebI password.

1) To learn how to change your WebI password, login to your campus's VPN and follow the "Password Reset" instructions in the WebI Reader Quick Guide.

2) If you continue to have difficulty logging in using Enterprise authentication, please contact the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team at: https://td.unh.edu/TDClient/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=142,  or by calling the IT Service Desk at 862-4242.

Additional Information
If LDAP authentication works for you, you can use that as well for now, but that comes with a word of caution. There are a few KSC and PSU employees who were given UNH accounts so they could access applications that require UNH authentication. These users accounts are synced with UNH AD. That is why they are able to use LDAP authentication to log into WebI.

This may become formalized in the future. If it does, accounts accessing WebI using LDAP authentication might be temporarily suspended. This would make WebI inaccessible via LDAP authentication. However, your Enterprise authentication would be unaffected. That is why, for KCU and PSU, EIM recommends users continue to login to WebI using the Enterprise authentication.
